One of the essential purposes of LAC (Latin America Canada Connections Development) is to foster, create, and consolidate sustainable international links between academic, university, and research institutions from different countries. Through strategic alliances, cooperation agreements, academic exchange programs, and collaborative projects, LAC promotes the strengthening of intercultural dialogue, the transfer of knowledge, and the promotion of mutual learning between educational communities.
This work aims to contribute to the academic, scientific, and professional development of teachers, researchers, and students by creating spaces for cooperation that foster educational excellence, innovation, and the comprehensive development of future leaders. In this way, LAC consolidates its position as a bridge between Canada, Latin America, and other regions of the world, aimed at building knowledge networks that foster international social, cultural, and educational progress.
Social
We firmly believe that every person deserves to feel valued, respected, and appreciated, regardless of their circumstances. Therefore, we regularly carry out community support activities for the homeless living in Toronto’s Dufferin Park and other public spaces where many people live in tents. Our commitment goes beyond providing basic supplies to meet their daily needs: we also bring words of encouragement, messages of love, and gestures of solidarity that remind them that they are not alone, that they are important, and that there are still hearts willing to accompany them and give them hope.
In addition, we have established a beautiful annual tradition: every February 14th, on Valentine’s Day, we deliver gifts and cards with messages of love, friendship, and self-worth to people living on the streets, thus reaffirming our commitment to sharing affection, hope, and humanity with those who need it most.
Entrepreneurs
In addition to its academic and cultural work, LAC (Latin America Canada Connections Development) promotes economic and personal development by supporting entrepreneurs. The organization fosters programs and activities aimed at strengthening their skills, providing support in the creation and expansion of their projects, and promoting innovation as a tool for social transformation. LAC also motivates new entrepreneurs to take their first steps by offering them guidance, networking opportunities, and learning opportunities that allow them to turn their ideas into sustainable initiatives with a positive impact on their communities.
